FAQ

Where do we go? How far is it from Taj Mahal?

It will take about 15 minutes by car to get there in total from the hotels which are located on Fatehabad Road, Agra (mostly all hotels are located on this road).

What will I see in the village?

It’s a little different every time, that’s what’s so exciting about this tour! But in general, we will visit farms, a small pond, a school, a local home for lunch, a local temple and be a part of daily activities of the local.

What will we do in the village?

Depending on the season, different farm activities will be going on that guests are welcome to try if they should wish. And at any time of year, we can milk the cow, eat lunch with a local family, try your hands on chopping the fodder for the cattle, feed the buffalo, learn to make roti on the earthen oven, enjoy a game of cricket or just chat with locals and understand their customs, traditions, superstitions etc.

What will we eat?

On request, we can eat a simple, traditional vegetarian lunch consisting of dal (lentils) roti, rice and vegetables. Else we can always join in for a cup of tea along with local snacks.

Is the food hygienic?

Yes, absolutely. We make it a priority to work with families with clean kitchens and we use bottled water when water is required. We’ve had hundreds of satisfied guests, so no need to worry! We can also cater to most allergies if required.

What does the school visit involve?

We are careful not to disrupt any ongoing classes. Depending on timing, we typically try to see a classroom, meet some students, see the school prayers and play with some kids during their break. This is available only if your visit is during school hours (7 am – 1 pm) on weekdays. You can also gift schools kids little stationary its like pencils, erasers etc.
