Review: Club Risata Resort And Spa, Bali

Club Risata Resort And Spa

Glad we made a good choice for our honeymoon destination after reading so many reviews on Trip Advisor… we were there in December,2012 for 7 nights booked through a timeshare holiday company, although not the best time to be in Bali being the rainy season, but we had a great time…

To start with…the hotel is very close to airport (around 10 mins drive), have big spacious clean rooms with electronic safe… we stayed in 2 bedroom + 1 living room suit on ground floor & its the best a couple can desire… pool is big & clean… pool side bar is little expensive & so is the restaurant…we soon discovered there are many warungs (small bamboo cafe) just outside the hotel which offer fantastic food & great prices…specially my favourite “Nasi Goreng” the fried rice.

Kuta beach & discovery mall is at the walking distance (or take a cab if u like), there is also small secluded beach just 100 meters ahead of Club Risata which can be reached in 5 mins walk… hotel staff service is good & helpful… we called the maintenance staff once in the middle of the night as one of our 2 bedrooms got locked & there were no keys provided on that lock… the staff came in & changed the lock within few minutes even when it was past midnight… Impressive service we must say.

However there is bad sever smell in the sink & washroom we noticed on some days in morning, but that’s bearable.. Lots of Australians around on timeshare holidays so we had good company, we tried the spa…its good but we found better & cheaper spas just outside the hotel… There is ATM just outside the hotel & even the hotel offers good money exchange rates, so another positive point.

Check in was quick and easy. The hotel provided one complimentary 15 liters of water bottle everyday; that’s more than we could finish in a day.The buffet breakfast had a good variety of western and asian food, there is someone who will make you eggs on request. No free wi-fi in the rooms… wi-fi is only available in restaurant and pool area. The same Balinese music is repeatedly player around pool area which can be very annoying at times. There is a great little convenience store across the road for anything you need, an assortment of restaurants, massages etc all in the street if you desire.  It is far away enough to not be in the busy hustle and bustle of Kuta yet within walking distance if you fancy a walk into the town along the boardwalk by the beach. The staff is all outstanding and very friendly, rooms/suites are kept extremely clean so thanks to the house keeping guys who do a wonderful job. The gardens are kept beautifully and are covered with lush trees and many gorgeous orchids. There is huge fountain area with fish pond which houses many big Koi fishes, a true delight to see and feed them. Break fast is good but need to keep more vegetarian options other than breads.

Felt like we were leaving good friends by the time we left! Altogether we had a good time in Club Risata & we highly recommend it for value for money.
